Ferdinand Hediard was not even 13 when he announced his parents that he wanted to enroll as a “Compagnon du Tour de France” (a French organization of craftsmen and artisans dating from the Middle Ages, but still active today). In 1850, Ferdinand opened his first shop, the “Comptoir d’Epices et des Colonies” (Colonial Spice Company), which he relocated in 1854 to a small but busy square in Paris, the now internationally renowned “Place de la Madeleine”.
This “voyage a Paris” coffee is made of pure arabica. It is already ground and comes in a beautiful black luxury tin.
