Reviews

“This is an excellent grinder for home use and the one that I use on a daily basis. It is relatively quiet (so I can grind my beans in the morning without waking the kids) and large enough to process 8 or so cups (a full pot) of coffee. The only downside is that you have to practice the knack of when to stop grinding due to the lack of coarse control, but it makes up for it with ease of use. In my mind the quietness, ease of use and ease of cleaning (the black model is easier to clean than white) make this a must-have for coffee lovers.”

“Is it a wonder why this coffee grinder is rated number 1. Fast, quite, and powerful. This coffee grinder is a great buy on Amazon. Krups makes good products and this one is one of their best.”

What is the best Coffee machine?

Jim Asked: What is the best Coffee machine?

Hello.

Recently my old coffee machine broke and for service it will cost about 250. So can anyone help me find a nice coffee machine that will do, preferably, more than 2 or 3 types of coffee?

Also, I’m not very into coffee machines so I want to ask…is it true that the more Bar pressure the machine has the better the coffee?

Answers:

Slim Answered:
If you can afford one, get a Kuerig K-Cup machine. Makes life much more simple and a cup of coffee takes seconds and you can make hot chocolate and tea. K-Cups are reasonably priced, sometimes you can shop online and get them in wholesale so it is cheaper. The convenience factor is great!

Keltoum Answered:
I love my coffee and i have tried countless coffee makers throughout the years. The best i have found is the Nespresso machine.

–> Keurig B-40 B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System <–

Ideal for entertaining, this 1500-watt single-serve home-brewing system brews a fresh cup of gourmet coffee or tea in less than a minute. The unit uses Keurig’s patented K-Cups, which offer over 70 varieties of pre-measured gourmet coffee and tea from a variety of premium brands.  The brewer’s patented one-touch technology ensures precise control of brewing, and there’s no messy grinding or clean up. Simply open the lid, insert a K-Cup, close the lid, and select a cup size.

Review:

“I just wanted to add my five stars to the reviews for this coffee pot. I have made coffee with it for a week now just using the sample pack that came with it. I love every cup that I have made. I don’t understand the reviews that say it is loud. When the water is heating up it makes a little whirring noise while it is heating up the water. There is a little 5 second splush at the end when it is forcing all the water out of the pod but that’s it. I can stand and have a conversation in a normal voice while it is doing it’s thing. My blender is way louder then this thing. lol If you are looking for a single cup system, you can’t go wrong buying this. Make sure you clean it regularly and you should have many years of coffee yummieness.”

Keurig B-70 B70 Platinum Single-Cup Home Brewing System

–> Get info and discount on the Keurig B-70 B70 Platinum Single-Cup Home Brewing System <–

Ideal for both everyday use and for entertaining, this 1500-watt countertop appliance brews one fresh cup of gourmet coffee, tea, or hot cocoa at a time. Not only does the single-cup home-brewing system ensure the freshest results (no more bitter coffee sitting in a carafe, going more bitter and stale with each minute), but it also makes it possible to customize drinks, since one guest might prefer regular while another decaf or hot tea after dinner.

Here’s a recent review from an Amazon.com customer:

I have been a Keurig fan for about a year and have been using a cheap entry level model you would find in nicer hotel rooms for that time. This father’s day my family got me one heck of an upgrade!

The good
1.) Same great coffee that has mad Keurig a part of my daily routine
2.) Larger brew sizes makes it easy to fill my largest coffee cup
3.) Iced coffee is an unexpected and loved addition to my summer beverage lineup
4.) Auto on timer makes it so I can have a cup of fresh coffee in about 20 seconds
5.) The water tank make for quick and less messy coffee than my old machine
6.) Looks great on the counter

The bad – Any negatives would be nit picking but here goes.
1.) Would like the water tank to be a little larger. We need to change it every 2-3 days and once a week would be awesome.
2.) A larger brew size would also be appreciated.

In summary this is the best coffee I have ever had and it is easy to make. No more Starbucks or McD coffee for me.

I have bought expensive ones & cheap ones. After a year none of them seem to work that well. The burner doesn’t stay hot enough.I bought a Mr Coffee at BB&B last year. $30. 20% off.  $15 rebate. Can’t get much better than that. It is still working. I preset it before I go to bed & have coffee ready when I wake up. It works as well as expensive ones I have had.

KitchenAid 7-oz. Pro Line Burr Coffee Grinder

For gourmet coffee that tastes just like your favorite coffee house, try grinding your beans fresh before you brew. This commercial-style burr coffee mill from the KitchenAid Pro Line series is designed with large cutting burrs and offers 15 grind sizes from espresso fine to French press-coarse. And despite its rugged, professional size, the system runs at a low 450 RPMs, so it causes minimum frictional heating of grinds and produces little noise. Special controls deliver coffee to burrs rather than requiring you to pour them in at once, resulting in excellent consistency and better-tasting coffee. Other highlights include a bin seal plate, easy burr removal for cleaning and under-cabinet design so you can keep it on display at all times. 120 volts. 150 watt dc motor. Wood-handled brush removes grinds thoroughly.

Serious Grinder for Seriously Good Coffee
“This is an excellent coffee grinder. It has a powerful, yet quiet motor and the grind selection dial is robust. The straight, vertical path of beans through the grinder makes it very trouble free. The only downsides are it is big, heavy and takes up a fair amount of counter space. This is a serious grinder, but it makes seriously good coffee.”

The real deal in burr coffee grinders
“Pay more for something that will last, I always say. Done with cheap coffee grinders, the Kitchen Aid keeps our whole family of coffee drinkers happy. Sturdy,
makes better tasting coffee than blade grinders. My wife was aghast that I paid so much for a grinder but she became a believer instantly.”

Best grinder we’ve ever had
“We tried several grinders and a blender because we had trouble spending 199.00 on a coffee grinder. After wasting 40 dollars here and 30 dollars there on grinders we just weren’t thrilled with, we broke down and bought this one. We have a coffee bar with a drip coffee maker, an espresso maker, we buy coffee beans from a roaster in TX, it just didn’t make sense not to have the best coffee grinder we could find.
“Five years later and we are still as happy with this coffee grinder as the day we bought it. Every morning I have freshly ground espresso, then change the grind and grind coffee for the drip coffee maker to take a thermos of coffee to work. I’ve had no problem with the bottom being *flimsy* and I’m not the most graceful of people. It is glass, and I’m sure if I dropped it there would be breakage, just like anything else that’s glass. I know the price seems steep, but if we’d not spent some here and some there on grinders we didn’t love, we could have had this one a lot earlier.”
